microsoft: change the world or go home!!

GapingVoid.com - a website maintained by Hugh MacLeod, whose passion is drawing cartoons on the back of business cards. Hugh claims he created the Blue Monster as a conversation-starter. Though there is something demonic about the monster, it shows aggressiveness in becoming a world leader, an epicenter of change that Microsoft should aspire to become.

The headline on the cartoon has many meanings:
  • Microsoft telling its potential customers to change the world or go home.
  • Microsoft telling its employees to change the world or go home.
  • Microsoft employees telling their colleagues to change the world or go home.
  • Everybody else telling Microsoft to change the world or go home.
  • Everyone else telling their colleagues to change the world or go home....
  • and so forth.

In Hugh's own words:the blue monster: "for too long, microsoft has allowed other people tell their story on their behalf- the media, their competition and their detractors, especially- instead of doing a better job of it themselves.

JASSI - forever remembered.. .

last year this day, i lost a good friend to the road – JASSI (Jasvinder Singh).. a short but valuable acquaintance!!

here is a charcoal portrait of Jassi, that i made last november.. it was signed by almost all in our team here at Microsoft.. could not gather the courage to send it to the grieving family then.. at the occasion of Jassi’s first anniversary, we have sent it to his family.. Jassi joined Microsoft in May'06 from Siemens and was nicely settling in to be an integral part of the team.. he was a good friend to a lot of us.. it is extremely sad that such a person has been snatched away from us in his prime..

JASSI - forever remembered.. forever missed.. .

DRIVE SAFE people!!
